EMBRACE II (cervical cancer): To implement interventions in terms of: systematic use of IC/IS application techniques, dose prescription protocol for IGABT, introduction of tumor related target concept (at diagnosis) and risk adaptive elective nodal target selection for IMRT; risk adaptive margin concept for IGRT (ITV/PTV). To benchmark related to a well defined intervention strategy for IGABT, IMRT/IGRT and radio-chemotherapy an outstanding level of local, nodal, systemic control, and overall survival as well as excellent outcome of morbidity and quality of life.1452 patients were accrued from 49 centers between March 2016 and December 2021. The first results from this study were presented at ESTRO 2025 and the abstract received the Donal Hollywood award.

Retro-COSMOS

This is a retrospective multicentric initiative to establish outcome data in oligo-recurrent and metastatic cervical cancer. This study investigated the use of radiation including brachytherapy in metastatic and recurrent cervical cancer The study also registered patients undergoing reirradiation for oligorecurrences.  The study recruited 421 patients from 26 international sites. Early results presented in ESGO 2026 and ESTRO 2026. First results from the study are expected in 2027.
