The ESTRO RTT Committee is delighted to announce the 4th edition of the ESTRO RTT Workshop series, running across 2026 and 2027.
Radiation therapy has become increasingly complex and is evolving rapidly, driven by new technology, the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), novel treatment delivery techniques and a more knowledgeable patient population. To address this, we have introduced RTT workshops that focus on specific popular topics, allowing participants to discuss challenges, explore future directions, and establish international collaborations. These highly productive events have led to numerous outcomes and publications.
These workshops are not scientific meetings based on invited talks and proffered papers, nor are they teaching courses. They aim to facilitate scientific collaborations and professional networking within the ESTRO RTT community, offering opportunities beyond what ESTRO routinely provides in its educational and scientific meetings.
Through the ESTRO network, three individual RTT working groups will be established from each workshop to promote communication, awareness, and appreciation within our RTT profession, addressing current and longstanding challenges. Each workshop will comprise two online sessions, followed by a third, in-person session on Tuesday 25 May 2027 at the end of ESTRO 2027 in Milan, from 14:00 to 17:00 CEST.
