We are delighted to invite you to the first edition of the ESTRO Clinical Workshop, taking place on 12–13 March 2026 in Vienna, Austria.
This new initiative is designed to foster knowledge exchange, networking, and innovation in clinical radiation oncology. Over two days, the workshop will provide a unique forum where clinicians, researchers, physicists, and early-career professionals can come together to share experiences, discuss challenges, and explore forward-looking solutions.
The programme will feature two plenary sessions on:
- Science Communication and Dissemination in Oncology
- Innovative Trial Design in Radiation Oncology
In addition, five interactive breakout groups will explore specific clinical and translational themes:
- Personalised Medicine in Radiation Oncology
- Combination of Radiation Therapy with Immunotherapy and Targeted Therapies
- Organ Preservation
- Hypofractionation & Ultra-fractionation
- AI & Big Data
Participants will be selected based on motivational statements, ensuring active engagement and meaningful exchange in each breakout group. This format is designed to encourage critical reflection, interactive discussion, and the creation of concrete outcomes that can advance our field.
Through expert-led discussions and collaborative engagement, the Clinical Workshop will:
- Promote clinical research and innovation
- Facilitate cross-institutional collaboration
- Critically assess new methodologies and technologies
- Inspire strategies for effective clinical translation
