Description:
This theme is jointly organised by the Breast Focus Group and the Skin & Soft Tissue Focus Group.
Through five interactive two-hour sessions, participants will explore radiobiological, clinical, technical, and implementation aspects of hypofractionation and ultrahypofractionation, including brachytherapy.
Ahead of the workshop, participants will be invited to take part in a survey on hypofractionation to help shape discussions and outputs.
Expected Deliverables
-
Recommendations on patient-reported outcomes (PROMs), side effect reporting, and QoL tools
-
White Paper on the benefits, limitations, and strategies for the adoption and harmonisation of hypo/ultrahypofractionation
-
Educational material including radiobiology lectures and hands-on schedule comparison exercises
Session Highlights
-
Radiobiology – Core concepts, interactive dose calculations, and the role of brachytherapy
-
Medical Physics & Technology – FLASH RT, brachytherapy, dosimetric challenges, and biological limits
