Clinical implementation of in vivo dosimetry
Cristina Garibaldi, Italy;
Elise Konradsson, USA
In-vivo dosimetry is an essential element of modern radiotherapy, but its clinical implementation has been limited so far. In this session we will learn that a large-scale clinical implementation is feasible, and its value for clinical radiotherapy practice will be discussed. The requirements on software, hardware, equipment, and system will be identified. In addition, the future directions for research, development and clinical practice of in-vivo dosimetry in both external radiotherapy and afterloading brachytherapy will be described and discussed."
