GEC-ESTRO Workshop 2026

We are delighted to invite you to the GEC-ESTRO Workshop 2026, taking place on 19–20 November 2026 in Seville, Spain.

This year’s theme, “Maximizing Brachytherapy Efficiency: Smart Workflow Solutions for Success,” reflects our collective ambition to enhance precision, quality, and safety in modern brachytherapy while improving workflow, speed, and sustainability in daily clinical practice.

Organised by the GEC-ESTRO Committee, the annual workshop has become a key event for scientific exchange, collaboration, and strategic development across all GEC-ESTRO working groups:

  • Anal-rectal
  • Brachy-HERO
  • BRAPHYQS
  • Breast
  • Gynae
  • Head & Neck & Skin
  • UroGEC

Each working group will present and analyse site-specific aspects of modern image-guided brachytherapy, offering insights into the latest advancements in the field. Our interactive format fosters lively discussions, knowledge transfer, and strong professional connections.

Across plenary and parallel sessions, participants will explore practical solutions to optimise workflows in gynaecological, prostate, breast, GI, and head & neck& skin brachytherapy.

The programme combines:

  • A plenary opening session on smart workflow solutions
  • The GEC-ESTRO Recognition keynote lecture
  • Site-specific parallel sessions led by working group experts
  • A joint session with the European Association of Dermato-Oncology (EADO) on strategies to treat skin cancer
  • Dedicated RTT/RT Nurse sessions
  • A “Meet the Working Group Chairs” interactive forum
  • A focus on training and education in brachytherapy and provide a platform for young brachytherapy practitioners

With its dynamic and interactive format, the workshop fosters multidisciplinary dialogue between clinicians, physicists, RTTs, RT nurses, researchers, and industry partners. The focus is not only on technological innovation, but also on practical implementation and accelerating brachytherapy without compromising quality.

In addition, several working groups will organise satellite meetings prior to the workshop. Participants interested in joining these focused discussions are encouraged to contact the respective working group leaders.

What's included in my registration?  The registration fee includes access to the sessions, lunches, coffee breaks and a networking event.

Payments are securely processed through credit card or direct debit card on our website. If you prefer to pay via bank transfer, please send your registration request and invoice details to events@estro.org.

Cancellation Policy – You may cancel your registration and receive a full refund, minus a 15% handling fee, up to one month before the workshop. No refunds will be possible for cancellations received after this date.
