The Online Contouring Workshop on Anal Cancer is an advanced educational course focused on radiotherapy contouring for anal canal cancer, with particular emphasis on target delineation, dose prescription, and treatment volumes according to current international guidelines. The course is designed to strengthen participants’ knowledge and practical skills in the definition of Gross Tumor Volumes (GTVs), Clinical Target Volumes (CTVs), and organs at risk (OARs), integrating multimodality imaging into the contouring process.
Through interactive online sessions and hands-on contouring exercises based on representative clinical cases, participants will learn how to apply evidence-based contouring recommendations in daily clinical practice. Particular attention will be devoted to reducing inter-observer variability, optimizing target coverage while minimizing toxicity, and improving consistency in treatment planning and delivery.
Participants will receive personalized expert feedback and will have the opportunity to discuss contouring strategies, challenging clinical scenarios with experienced radiation oncologists. By the end of the workshop, attendees are expected to gain greater confidence and accuracy in anal cancer radiotherapy planning, ultimately contributing to improved treatment quality and patient care.
