Overview: Brachytherapy retains a vital role in the modern management of many cancers. As technology and processes have evolved, so too have clinical applications. Maturing experience with more refined, or expanded, use of image-guided brachytherapy has brought opportunities and challenges. These teaching lectures highlight the latest developments in hepatobiliary brachytherapy, and in prostate brachytherapy.

Overview: The management of oligometastatic disease is rapidly evolving with the increasing effectiveness of systemic therapies. This symposium will explore current concepts and controversies in defining oligometastatic disease and integrating local treatments into multidisciplinary care. Experts will discuss the biological and clinical limits of the oligometastatic state, the role of prostate and metastasis-directed therapy in low-volume metastatic prostate cancer in the ARPI era, the value of local treatment for primary and metastatic breast cancer, and strategies for combining local and systemic therapies in lung oligometastatic disease.
