BC Cancer is seeking an exceptional leader in clinical medical physics to shape the next chapter of radiotherapy across our provincial cancer system. This is a unique opportunity to set provincial direction, lead a high-performing team, and drive innovation in a complex, high-impact healthcare environment.
As Executive Director, Clinical Medical Physics, you will:
- Provide strategic and clinical leadership to a provincial team of physicists, leaders, and trainees.
- Oversee medical physics standards, treatment planning, technology adoption, and quality frameworks.
- Lead the BC Cancer Physics Residency Program, advancing education, research, and innovation.
- Represent BC Cancer at national and international levels, influencing the evolution of radiotherapy in BC.
What you bring:
- PhD in Medical Physics from a CAMPEP-accredited program (or PhD in Physics plus CAMPEP certification).
- Completion of a CAMPEP-accredited residency.
- CCPM or ABR certification and Fellowship (FCCPM).
- 15+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in senior leadership.
- Expertise across conventional and advanced modalities (SBRT, adaptive RT, MRI-guided RT, brachytherapy).
- Proven success in advancing clinical physics programs, research, and mentorship.
- Commitment to Indigenous Cultural Safety, anti-racism, and equity in healthcare.

What we offer:
Salary: $206,722 – $310,084 annually.
