ESO-ESSO-ESTRO-ESP Multidisciplinary Course on Oncology for Medical Students

  • The course is offered to medical students who have completed their fourth year of studies at the time of the course 
  • Participation will be limited to 40 students who will be selected through a competitive application process.

Jointly organised by ESO, ESSO, ESTRO and ESP, the key goal of this course is to encourage medical students to specialize in an oncology related discipline. During one week, students will receive theoretical and practical training from experienced teachers.

By the end of the course, participants will have a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of oncology and a clear picture of the complexity and importance of the multidisciplinary approach to cancer treatment.

  • Pre-recorded lecture beforehand
  • Theoretical plenary sessions
  • MTD Case presentations
  • Clinical visits in small groups
  • Preparation in small working groups of a presentation on specific topic, delivered by students on the last day (compulsory)

Accommodation

Accommodation is not included in the registration fee. Selected candidates (non-local) will be provided with an accommodation financial aid of 200€ post-course.
