Head and Neck Teaching Course: Oral Cavity & Paranasal Sinus

The course is aimed at Radiation Oncologists/Physicists involved in the management, including treatment and radiation therapy planning of head and neck cancers in their daily routine. It is designed for a basic understanding of evidence-based management and current updates in head and neck cancers, along with contouring and planning sessions to enhance their knowledge and IMRT/IGRT planning techniques.

Participation by a Radiation Oncologist and a Medical Physicist from the same hospital/ institute is strongly recommended. A special discount on the registration fee has also been provided for this group.

This three-day course intends to enhance the knowledge of the participants in the management and treatment planning of oral cavity and paranasal sinus tumours with contouring and treatment planning sessions

The course intcludes didactic lectures with the final objective that participants should be able to understand and be able to implement the management and advanced radiation therapy planning techniques in the treatment of oral cavity and paranasal sinus tumours, along with recent updates.

The course includes didactic lectures, pre-course online contouring and hands-on training in the treatment planning of oral cavity and PNS tumours. It also has panel discussions and interactive sessions to stimulate discussions and for the exchange of knowledge and foster understanding in this set of common tumors (oral cavity) as well as the uncommon site like paranasal sinus cancer.
