Multiple and multifocal SBRT in advanced disease
Łukasz Kuncman, Poland;
Max Dahele, The Netherlands
The use of extra-cranial, stereotactic body/ablative radiotherapy (SBRT/SABR) in patients with advanced cancer is increasing. This short, focused session on “multiple and multifocal SBRT in advanced disease” deals with practical issues encountered in routine clinical practice, including: (1) defining and characterising oligo-metastatic disease; (2) repeated SBRT to the same anatomical site; (3) dose accumulation for repeat/multifocal SBRT; (4) differentiating post-SBRT imaging changes from recurrent tumour. We hope it will be of interest to physicians, physicists and technologists already delivering SBRT to patients with advanced cancer, and to those thinking about starting an SBRT program for patients with (oligo-) metastatic disease. Thank you for attending/taking part and making it a success.
