16th bis International Wolfsberg Meeting on Molecular Radiation Biology/Oncology

Welcome to the International Wolfsberg Meeting on Molecular Radiation Biology/Oncology

The next meeting in 2023 will take place on June 17- 19, 2023, in the Hurdalsjøen Hotel, Norway!

Founded in 1997 these meetings are considered top international meetings in the field of applied radiation biology and bring together basic scientists from the fields of molecular and cell biology, tumor biology, and radiation biology with preclinical and clinical scientists working in the field of experimental radiation oncology.

The conference consists of Keynote and Invited Lectures, proffered paper and intense poster sessions on the four scientific topics DNA Repair, Intra- and Inter-cellular Signaling, Microenvironment, and Novel Therapies and Biomarkers, each being discussed for half a day. Former speakers for example are Mary-Helen Barcellos-Hoff, Martin Brown, Mark Dewhirst, Ian Stratford, Peter Vaupel, Michele De Palma, Andy Minn, Saskia Ellenbroek, Amato Giaccia, Lars Zender and Karen Knudsen, each of them world-leading experts in their respective fields.

In a slightly modified way and with a new organization team, we now reinitiate this meeting series - after cancellation for a few years due to reconstructions of the Wolfsberg Castle Conference Center and the Covid-19 pandemic. The meeting location will be - for the first time - in the Hurdalsjøen Hotel, Norway, a similar setting as before in the Wolfsberg Castle, surrounded by nature. The new organizer team plans alternating meetings in Norway and Switzerland.

We are already now composing an exciting program for this next meeting and we are very much looking forward to welcoming former and new participants in 2023. The program structure including the names of the invited speakers will be published and announced soon. The circulation of the Announcement and Call for Abstracts will start in autumn 2023.

Looking forward to meeting and discussing Applied Radiobiology with you!
