Overview: This symposium will highlight innovative, person-centred approaches that improve the radiotherapy experience for patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Through practical examples from diverse healthcare settings, speakers will explore the use of mobile translation applications to enhance communication with culturally and linguistically diverse patients, co-designed educational programmes for children and carers, multidisciplinary prehabilitation to optimize patient outcomes, and virtual reality as a tool for patient and staff education. Together, these initiatives demonstrate how innovation extends beyond technology to include communication, education, collaboration, and patient engagement, ultimately promoting more accessible, equitable, and compassionate cancer care.
