ESTRO 2026

ESTRO 2025 in Vienna broke all records for submitted abstracts, attendees and practice changing clinical trials. It included an inaugural joint call for abstracts by The Lancet Oncology & the Green Journal. ESTRO 2025 was thought-provoking with its keynote lectures, giving a voice to a patient and entrepreneur. In short, ESTRO 2025 was THE place for cutting-edge research, tailored education and fun networking in Radiation Oncology.

It is my great pleasure to invite you to ESTRO 2026, taking place in Stockholm, Sweden from 15 to 19 May and to introduce this year’s congress theme:

Innovating Radiation Oncology, Together.

ESTRO 2025 focused on transformative innovation through partnership, via collaboration within our Radiation Oncology Community and especially with our scientific friends and partners from basic science, translational research and multidisciplinary cancer care. This journey will be continued, aiming to stay at the forefront of innovation. ESTRO 2026 will broach the opportunities to innovate our discipline itself, to optimally prepare us for tomorrow’s clinical, professional and scientific changes and challenges.

The theme will be reflected throughout the programme. Exciting keynote speakers will surprise us, more patients than ever will provide their perspectives and reflections, and interaction between chairs, speakers and the participants will be further increased, to maximise the learning experience.

The joint call for abstracts with the Lancet Oncology will be continued. We will acknowledge scientific excellence, not only by awarding a select few individuals but also the TOP 5% of all abstracts. Our communication of breakthrough science via social channels and the press will be boosted, both during and after the congress. These measures will make ESTRO 2026 THE meeting to showcase and learn from TOP practice-changing clinical trials and breakthrough research in all fields of Radiation Oncology.

ESTRO 2026 will be in vibrant Stockholm for the first time, an exciting Scandinavian city which is not only the capital of Sweden, but the home of many Radiation Oncology companies. Stockholm is famous for its sustainability and its Scandinavian efficiency.

ESTRO 2026 will host Europe’s largest industry exhibition in Radiation Oncology, offering you a unique opportunity to interact with industry leaders and to find out about their latest innovations.

Join the ever-growing ESTRO family in Stockholm.

With warm regards,
