Cutting-edge genomics in radiation oncology
Recent years have seen an increasing use of high-throughput technologies in radiation oncology, including germline genome-wide association (GWA) studies combined with somatic transcriptomic, genomic and epigenomic data.
This symposium offers an overview of:
• A selection of current radiogenomic GWAS studies and meta-analyses focusing on genetic variations of both normal tissue and cancer as well as the identification of hypoxic signatures.
• The most cutting-edge ‘omics’ technologies that are complemented by the development of high content platforms for profiling radiation responses in cells and patient-derived xenografts using CRISPR-cas9 gene editing.
