Surface guided radiation therapy
Surface guided monitoring systems are increasingly finding their way into treatment bunkers. These systems promise additional patient safety, improved geometric accuracy, and possibilities to reduce a department’s reliance on CBCT imaging. In this session, you will hear about surface guided radiotherapy applications including deep inspiration breath-hold, frameless SRS, and total marrow irradiation. The session speakers will highlight developments into field of surface guided radiation therapy including extensions into proton therapy. You will also hear about the requirements for proper internal tumor tracking based upon internal-external correlation models, as well as the need for appropriate guidelines on ROI selections.
