- 17:05–17:25 | How future brachytherapists are built: mentorship, mindset, and early career steps — Evert van Limbergen| A practical mentor perspective on how young professionals can become involved in brachytherapy, what mentors value in motivated trainees, and how to build an early brachytherapy profile. The talk will also cover how courses, workshops, observerships and networking can be used strategically and how applicants can strengthen their CV and motivation letter.
- 17:25–17:45 | How I applied for the GEC-ESTRO Fellowship: timeline, application, and what happened next — Iustin Pirsan | A fellow’s perspective on the complete pathway from deciding to apply to completing the fellowship. The presentation will address application preparation, timing, institutional support, practical logistics, expectations and how fellowship experience can influence confidence, skills and future career plans.
- 17:45–18:00 | Live poll, practical discussion & Q&A | Live poll: Would you consider applying for the GEC-ESTRO Fellowship within the next 1–2 years? Open discussion on application strategy, timing, funding, institutional support, mentorship and other practical barriers. The session may also include a short mentor perspective on what makes a strong fellowship applicant.
