10 – 11 November 2025

Maastricht University Medical Center (MUMC+), The Netherlands

We are pleased to inform you that registration for the 4D workshop in Maastricht is now open!

. With a diverse programme, we aim to bring together clinicians, physicists, radiation therapists, and other professionals engaged in 4D particle therapy.

All details, including the registration link and abstract submission information (deadline 8 September), can be found on the workshop website: CLICK HERE

This year, we will start in the early afternoon with a half-day workshop entitled “Clinical guidelines and recommendations for 4D particle treatments”. We will kick off the workshop with presentations of a multi-centre case study and systematic review, and will follow that with insights into the work of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine Task group 290 on motion management in particle therapy. The aim of the workshop is to identify the indications and profession-specific needs on motion mitigation, which will be elaborated in subgroups.

On the second day, we will have expert talks on upright radiotherapy, breath-hold strategies, 4D imaging, clinical evidence and 4D phantoms as well as a mini-oral session. We encourage everyone to submit abstracts before 8 September; they can be on a wide range of topics, whether it’s a research project, a challenging clinical case, or a new implementation you’d like to share from your practice. Also a small number of industrial representatives will be invited to attend the workshop – not to contribute with an industrial exhibition but to participate in the scientific discussions.

Registration is limited to 50 participants, so we kindly ask you to register as soon as possible to secure your spot.

We look forward to welcoming you to Maastricht this November!

Warm regards,

4D workshop organisational team and representatives of the European Particle Therapy Network working party 5 task group on 4D treatments
