The fifth European Radiation Protection Week (ERPW) will bring together the platforms for radiation protection research as a hybrid event that will allow visitors to participate onsite or online. Interested stakeholders and many European and international organisations will be able to discuss advances in research and special topics. Organised by the European Alliance for Medical Radiation Protection Research (EURAMED), this year’s conference will take place at the Billrothhaus in Vienna, Austria, from 22 to 24 November. The conference programme includes sessions related to:

  • lessons learned by European radiation protection platforms from large nuclear accidents
  • challenges in research on individual radiosensitivity and susceptibility
  • visions of the future of radiation protection research: big data, artificial intelligence and beyond.

Additionally, the conference will host six sessions for oral and poster presentations and two workshops that will address topics related to the EURAMED rocc-n-roll project. The final conference programme and a list of hotels near the venue will be posted on the conference website soon.

Registration is provided online at the conference website. The participation fee for onsite and online attendees who are not presenters is 100€, which will contribute to the rental of the conference venue, technical support for online streaming, and morning coffee breaks. The conference organisers, the European Institute for Biomedical Imaging Research (EIBIR), may be contacted for any enquiries, including those related to registration, streaming and COVID regulations.

On behalf of president Klaus Bacher, EURAMED warmly welcomes onsite and online participants to Vienna at the Billrothhaus!
