Dear colleagues and friends,

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the Eighth trends in head & neck oncology meeting (THNO-8) to be held face-to-face in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and online on 11-13 November, 2021. This meeting will offer you up-to-date information on many aspects of head and neck cancer that will be translated to daily practice. Please check www.thno2021.org for the programme, details regarding abstract submission and registration rates.

A wealth of exciting data is emerging currently in this rapidly evolving field. The THNO-8 meeting will review state-of-the-art knowledge, with emphasis on multidisciplinary decision-making about and management of head and neck cancer. There will be ample time to discuss the role of the microbiome, new targets for treatment, immunotherapy, resistance mechanisms, standardisation of molecular profiling programmes, new methods to guide therapeutic approaches, the different treatment approaches that are available in primary disease and in recurrent metastatic disease, new developments in pathology, surgery and reconstruction techniques, new systemic therapies in salivary gland cancer, supportive care and follow-up.

All disciplines that are involved in the treatment of head and neck cancer will be represented in integrated sessions. The translation to daily practice will be highlighted through interactive discussions of clinical cases that will be facilitated by panels. THNO-8 is designed for medical oncologists, head and neck surgeons, radiation oncologists, otolaryngologists and other medical professionals who are involved in the treatment of patients with head and neck cancer.

THNO-8 will offer excellent science and medicine online and face-to-face in the beautiful city of Amsterdam.
