Adaptation of the tumour and its ecosystem to radiotherapies: mechanisms, imaging and therapeutic approaches - PDF Version

30 September - 3 October 2020, Le Bono, France
Endorsed by ESTRO

The 14th international workshop of the Tumour Targeting, Imaging and Radiotherapies Network, entitled Adaptation of the tumour and its ecosystem to radiotherapies: mechanisms, imaging and therapeutic approaches will confront the points of view and problems found in the scientific disciplines of chemistry, biology, physics, medicine, and computer science as researchers work to develop molecular and external beam radiotherapies in oncology.

This workshop will focus on the latest advances in molecular and external beam radiotherapies through a better understanding of adaptation of the tumour and its microenvironment. Progress in biological knowledge of tumour escape, heterogeneity and resistance enable other disciplines to perform treatment using radionuclides or radiation. These aspects will be developed, through the following sessions:

Session 1: Tumour adaptation to radiotherapies: biological aspects
Session 2: Tumour adaptation to radiotherapies: contribution of imaging
Session 3: Innovative radiation therapeutic strategies
Session 4: Learning and data-driven techniques
Session 5: Future challenges from an industrial point of view with a focus on European policy in oncology.

To stimulate intense discussion between young and senior scientists, total attendance is limited to a maximum of 65 persons

Thirty travel grant awards are available to young researchers (PhD students and Post-doctoral scientists). Each award consists of complimentary registration to the workshop, accommodation expenses, and a contribution of up to 250€ to travel expenses. Candidates must submit an abstract and must be selected as a speaker for one of the scientific sessions to benefit from these awards. Selected candidates will be notified by 26 June, 2020.

Deadline for abstract submission is extended to 15 June, 2020.

Deadline for registration: 15 June, 2020.
Student/Post-Doc selected for oral presentation: free
Academic attendees: 450€. Attendees from industry: 600€
Registration includes: full accommodation/meals from dinner on 30 September until lunch on 3 October.
Due to the limitation placed on the number of attendees, early registration and abstract submission is strongly advised.
