Ultra hypofractionation for localised prostate cancer
Ultrahypofractionation for the treatment of (localized) prostate cancer is emerging. In this session first the radiobiological base of (ultra)hypofractionation in prostate cancer will be highlighted. Then, different treatment modalities will be discussed in comparison to ultrahypofractionation, such as LDR and HDR brachytherapy, and special attention to previous and future trial design and outcome measures. After that an update of the clinical evidence of ulltrahypofractionation for localized prostate cancer is provided, and if SBRT should be considered standard of care in 2020. To conclude, the physical aspect of SBRT will be discussed, with focus on the different (planning)techniques, constraints and set-up.
