Breast Cancer

12-26 March, 2019

This workshop aims to make understandable the principles of breast contouring as well as the organs at risk such as the heart or lung. First, the participants will be able to contour a clinical case as they do in their daily clinical practice. One week after, during the online meeting, all the contours performed by the participants will be discussed together with experts in this field. The participants will be able to interact with experts during the online session in order to ask questions regarding the contouring. In this context, guidelines regarding the basic principles will be shown. The participants will have a second opportunity to delineate the clinical case following the suggestions from the experts. In this context, the participants will be able to compare their contours with those performed by an expert.

These online delineation workshops are aimed at junior clinical or radiation oncologists who want to improve their contouring skills or at more senior specialists who want to refresh and validate their knowledge and skills in this field.

26 March, 2019 - 18.00-20.00 CET (Central European Time)

Before the workshop, pre-workshop homework will be sent out that needs to be complete before the workshop. This will be accompanied with prerecorded instructions how to use Falcon Educase and how to logon for the first session with WebEx. This will be sent one week before the first workshop lesson. On the first online lesson the faculty members will give a guideline presentation, and will review and comment your pre-workshop contours. Participants are requested to contour the case the second time based on the taught guidelines. On the second online lesson the faculty members will compare the first and the second submitted contours to the reference contours and generally comment the delineations.
