The ECCO 2018 European Cancer Summit

The ECCO 2018 European Cancer Summit will be held in Vienna, Austria, on 7-9 September 2018, bringing worldwide leaders from the cancer healthcare, patient advocacy and stakeholder communities together in a unique multidisciplinary forum.
In a fast-paced environment of ever-increasing complexity, the way cancer care is delivered evolves, and ECCO 2018 allows all stakeholders gathered at this meeting to outline the best way forward for cancer patients in Europe from a multidisciplinary perspective.
Facilitating the mission and vision of ECCO (the European CanCer Organisation), which is to improve patient outcomes, the programme is developed and devised by ECCO and its 25 member societies. ECCO members, representing over 170,000 oncology professionals, play an integral and invaluable role in developing the Summit programme.

Connecting science with real life by driving policy evolution at the highest political level, the Summit will:

• Debate leading-edge ideas on outcomes research, health economics and organisation of cancer care delivery

• Determine consensus resolutions for improving health systems

• Decide on an action plan for the way forward to ensure ideas translate into policies that will impact daily clinical practice.
