European Projects
ESTRO’s role in radiation oncology research encompasses all levels of professional education & research training in addition to informing colleagues about ongoing European research projects and the dissemination of project results.
During the past 20 years ESTRO has supported more than 40 important European research projects. ESTRO has become a recognised international leader in the provision of radiation oncology education and research training. Capitalising on its experience, ESTRO gives special attention to organising PhD student exchange programmes and research fellowships as well as helping junior fellows apply for EU grants to support their participation in conferences and research projects.
From its central position ESTRO has developed a broad network of contacts with international, regional and national societies as well as professional bodies and industry partners in the field of radiation oncology. As a result ESTRO has a wide range of methods and tools available to ensure the promulgation of the methodology and results of research projects to a broad audience.
