Biography

Sara Ramella is Associate Professor in Radiation Oncology at the Campus Bio-Medico University in Rome, Italy. He teaches in his University as Professor of both clinical oncology and radiology and her field of interest is clinical application of novel radiotherapic techniques such as Adaptive Radiotherapy, SABR (Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy), VMAT (Volumetric Arc Therapy) and IGRT (Image-Guided Radiation Therapy). She is actively involved in clinical and translational research. Current fields of investigation are radiomic, a tool to prognosticate and predict tumor response to oncological therapy, and Lung Cancer treatment. She is an expert in the treatment of non-small and small cell lung cancer and in which way novel techniques can optimize such treatment. Professor Ramella has published original articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals, is delegate of several National and International Societies such as AIRO, ESTRO, EORTC, IASLC, and was an invited speaker in national and international meetings.
