Karin Dieckmann is a radiation oncologist at the Medical University Vienna, Vienna Austria. She is vice chairwomen of the Radiotherapy Department. She subspecialized in pediatric oncology and is member of several pediatric oncology groups (SIOPE-Society for Paediatric Oncology-, APRO German Pediatric Working Group (Arbeitskreis Paediatrische Onkologie) and PROS (Paediatric Radiation Oncology Society). Since 2018 she is chairwomen of the ESTRO Paediatric Teaching Course. She is working on the field of extracranial stereotactic Radiotherapy since 1997 and is an active member of the German stereotactic working group (DEGRO) since 2005. Since the establishment of the ESTRO Extracranial Stereotactic Radiotherapy Teaching (SBRT) Course, she is an active member of the teaching group. Apart from stereotactic irradiation of brain metastases, her focus is based on stereotactic treatment of lung and liver cancer, and choroidal melanoma. With the ESTRO –SBRT-Teachers she published SBRT consensus guideline on implementation and practice of stereotactic body radiotherapy.
