Jan-Jakob Sonke

Jan-Jakob Sonke received his PhD degree in the field of room acoustics from the Delft University of Technology in 2000. He started his career in the field of radiation oncology at the Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI) as a post doc with the characterization and clinical implementation of amorphous silicon (a-Si) electronic portal imaging devices. Subsequently he focused on the characterization and improvement of 3D and 4D CBCT for image guidance. Now he leads research group on adaptive radiotherapy focusing on anatomical and functional changes and methods to optimally account for such changes.
