Anabela Gregório Dias is a medical physicist at the Portuguese Oncology Institute of Porto (IPO‑Porto), where she has worked for over 18 years, and a researcher in the Medical Physics, Radiological and Radiation Protection Group (GFMRPR) at CI‑IPO. Her work focuses on implementing QA/QC programs, validating and commissioning treatment planning systems (TPS), and optimizing image‑guided radiotherapy (IGRT) techniques. She is strongly committed to improving quality and patient safety through institutional dosimetric audit programs that aim to harmonize radiotherapy methodologies nationwide. She collaborates with national and international institutions in projects funded by the FCT and the European Union Currently, she leads an institutional project on Cone‑Beam CT (CBCT) dose measurement and optimization in IGRT, is a WG12 member in the EURADOS study on imaging practices and patient doses in IGRT, and a partner in Erasmus+ project OPTIMIZE‑RT, focused on developing educational tools in radiotherapy. She also co‑leads two FCT projects: BeMIC‑on‑chip and Radio4breast. Her research interests bridge biomaterials science, radiobiology, and medical physics. Notable contributions include developing radiotherapy QA programs, dosimetric protocols, and auditing methodologies. She has authored multiple peer‑reviewed papers with over 476 citations and an h‑index of 12.
