Alberto Traverso trained as a clinical physicist at the University of Turin and at the radiology department of Candiolo Cancer Institute (Italy). He has a PhD in radiation oncology from the Faculty of Medicine at Maastricht University. Since 2017 he works a senior scientist at Maastro Clinic, The Netherlands. He specialises in medical image analysis, prediction modelling for thorax malignancies. His motto is: "Doing AI in the clinic is a bit like climbing: you better trust yourself, your companions, your gear, and keep the end goal in mind but mind your step"
