Biography

Kitty is a radiation therapist at the Princess Margaret (PM) Cancer Centre in Toronto, Ontario. She completed the joint Michener/University of Toronto Radiation Science program in 2005, joined the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre as a Medical Radiation Therapist (MRT(T)) in 2006 and subsequently obtained the Masters of Health Science (MHSc.) degree in Radiation Sciences at University of Toronto in 2011. Kitty is appointed as Clinical Specialist Radiation Therapist (CSRT) in Brachytherapy in 2012. In this advanced practice role, her work primarily involved the integration of magnetic resonance (MR) imaging into the brachytherapy workflow, her published work focused using Lean Methods to improve the workflow and efficiency for the MR-guided brachytherapy (MRgBT) process in cervix and prostate cancers. Professionally, Kitty is the co-chair of the CSRT Community of Practice (CoP) at the Cancer Care Ontario, Ontario Health since 2017 where she supports advanced practice radiation therapists in Ontario, Canada. She also holds an academic appointment as a Lecturer at the Department of Radiation Oncology, University of Toronto. Kitty teaches undergraduate as well as facilitate graduate courses in the Medical Radiation Sciences Program.
