Dirk Wagenaar (PhD) is a medical physicist from the proton therapy center in the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) in the Netherlands. Ever since the opening of the proton therapy center in 2018, he has been actively involved in research on the clinical impact of LET and RBE variations in proton therapy and treatment planning techniques. Other professional interests include dose accumulation, pseudo-CT generation, using machine learning, and TPS automation through python scripting.
