Lars E. Olsson is professor of Medical Physics, Lund University, Sweden, who defended his PhD thesis on MRI application to radiation dosimetry 1991. He is a medical physicist by training, and has several experience from the fields of nuclear medicine and radiology physics, but has served as dedicated MRI-physicist in the clinic and the industry for more than 20 years. The last five years he has been engaged in building a research group for MRI in radiotherapy in Lund, Sweden. He is also one of the leaders of the National Swedish consortium for implementation of MRI in radiotherapy.
