Biography
Dr Stephanie Kroeze is a Senior Physician Radiation Oncologist at the Cantonal Hospital Aarau and University Zürich in Switzerland.
Her main clinical and research areas are Uro-Oncology, Lung cancer and Stereotactic Radiotherapy in combination with Immunotherapy
or Targeted therapy. She has a MD PhD on the topic of focal therapies for Renal Cell Carcinoma and is active in the international efforts
to extend the use of SBRT in the treatment of RCC. As a scientific steering committee member of the EMUC (European
Multidisciplinary Congress on Urological Cancers) she is co-organizer of the scientific program. She has set up an international
collaborations on real-world data in the field of PSMA-PET-imaging based radiotherapy for Prostate Cancer, as well as SBRT combined
with modern targeted drugs. Both projects aim to help answer many of its urgent clinical questions in this quickly moving field.
Furthermore, she is an active member of the ESTRO/ACROP international consensus guidelines committees on the integration of
radiotherapy with targeted therapy for breast cancer, the ESMO-ESTRO joint project of integration of radiotherapy with targeted drugs
and recently published the Delphi Consensus on combining SBRT with modern targeted drugs as part of the EORTC-ESTRO Oligocare
Consortium. Next to clinical work and research, she is actively involved in the educational program of radiation oncology residents in
Switzerland and is an ESTRO-School teacher.
