Edmond Sterpin

I am Professor in medical physics, appointed by both KU Leuven and UCLouvain. My main task is to coordinate the research efforts related to the inter university proton therapy center in Leuven PARTICLE. My main research interests are treatment modeling with Monte Carlo simulations, robust treatment planning, automatic planning, adaptive radiotherapy, in vivo proton range verification and reference dosimetry. More recently, I have been involved in projects related to arc proton therapy and flash radiotherapy. Before being appointed as a Professor, I have completed my PhD thesis in UCLouvain under the supervision of Prof. Vynckier and completed a 2 years postdoc in the University of Wisconsin under the supervision of Prof. Mackie.
