I am an Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bengaluru, India, a high-volume tertiary cancer centre. I have over eight years of experience in clinical radiation oncology, academic teaching, and research, with a strong focus on precision radiotherapy and multidisciplinary cancer care. I completed my MD in Radiation Oncology at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology and my MBBS from Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bengaluru. My clinical training and practice include advanced radiotherapy techniques such as 3DCRT, IMRT, IGRT, VMAT, SBRT, and stereotactic radiosurgery, along with image-guided brachytherapy techniques including intracavitary, interstitial, and endobronchial procedures. I routinely manage complex and advanced malignancies across multiple tumour sites using CT- and MR-based planning. My clinical practice is predominantly focused on metastatic and oligometastatic disease, breast cancer, gynaecological malignancies, head and neck cancers, and palliative radiotherapy. I am actively involved in multidisciplinary tumour boards and prioritise patient-centred care, with particular emphasis on optimal tumour control, toxicity reduction, functional preservation, and quality-of-life outcomes. I also hold certification in palliative care and have extensive experience in pain management and supportive oncology. Alongside clinical practice, I am deeply engaged in medical education and mentorship. I am involved in postgraduate teaching, curriculum development, and supervision of trainees in radiation oncology. I have contributed to academic literature as a co-editor of the Comprehensive Question Atlas for Post Graduates in Radiation Oncology (Wolters Kluwer, 2021) and have authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in national and international journals. My research interests include ablative radiotherapy, treatment-related toxicity, functional outcomes, and survivorship. I have presented my work at major national and international forums, including ASTRO and ESTRO-affiliated meetings. Notably, I am a co-author of the international review article “Ablative radiotherapy for polymetastatic disease: a new kid on the block” published in Expert Review of Anticancer Therapy (2025), developed in collaboration with international faculty. This work reflects my interest in advancing global consensus and evidence-based practice in oligometastatic disease. I am a member of professional organisations including ESTRO, AROI, IBSCON, IMSOS, and ISNO, and I actively participate in cancer awareness and community outreach programmes. Through my clinical work, research, and teaching, I remain committed to advancing patient-centred, evidence-based radiation oncology and improving cancer care outcomes across diverse healthcare settings.
