Biography

I am Abrahim Al-Mamgani, born on 5th of May 1963 in Baghdad, Iraq and graduated Cum Lauda as Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery” Medicinae Baccalaureus, Baccalaureus Chirurgiae (MBChB) to the University of Kufa, Iraq. \nIn 1995 I moved to the Netherlands and equalized my medical education and gained my MD degree with Cum Lauda at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam in 1998. \nIn 2010 I gained my PhD degree on the thesis “The Dynamics of Dose Escalation of radiotherapy for Localized Prostate Cancer”, at The Erasmus University of Rotterdam. \nFrom 2004 to 2014 I worked at the department of radiotherapy of the Erasmus MC-Daniel den Hoed Cancer Center, Rotterdam and since 2014 I moved to the Netherlands Cancer Institute. As radiation oncologist I am dedicated to treat head and neck and urological cancers and I am involved in different research activities within the department of radiation oncology of the Netherlands Cancer Institute. I am also involved in brachytherapy treatment of head and neck cancers, specifically lip and nasal vestibule.
