Biography

Professor Jarad Martin is a Radiation Oncologist and departmental Director of Research working at the Calvary Mater Newcastle and also with Genesis Care. He completed his training in 2005 at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, and undertook a genitourinary oncology clinical research fellowship at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto. His primary clinical and research interests are in urologic and gastrointestinal cancers, as well as the use of radiotherapy for benign conditions. His main current collaborative clinical trials are looking at two competing SBRT schedules for prostate cancer (NINJA), the role of radiotherapy for Dupuytren's Disease (DEPART), and the use of radiotherapy as an immune-priming agent for oesophageal cancer (PALEO).
