Meritxell Mollà is Head of the Radiation Oncology department in Hospital Clinic of Barcelona Meritxell Mollà obtained her degree in Medicine and Surgery from University of Barcelona in 1993 She was trained as a Radiation Oncology at the Hospital Clinic of Barcelona, in 1999. In 2003 she was awarded her PhD by the University of Barcelona for a thesis on “Molecular mechanisms of radiation- induced bowel inflammation”. She is especially interested in breast cancer, lung cancer and biomarkers of radiation induced acute and late effects. She is also a member of research group IDIBAPS. Meritxell Mollà worked in Institut Oncologic Teknon and in Hospital Vall d’Hebron. She joined Hospital Clinic of Barcelona in 2015 and took over as head of the Radiation Oncology department in 2017, and become associate professor of University of Barcelona in 2018
