Petros Kalendralis was born on the 13th of August 1991 in Serres, Greece. After finishing his secondary education at 1st General Lyceum of Serres, he studies Physics at the University of Ioannina in Greece (graduation 2015). After the completion of the bachelor degree he offered the obligatory military services in Greece.Afterwards, he followed the master's program in Medical Physics at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, United Kingdom (graduation 2017). His master thesis with the title "Dosimetric comparison of radiotherapy treatment planning" focused on the comparison of two different radiotherapy techniques (IMRT vs VMAT) on left breast cancer patients. This thesis laid the groundwork for his expertise in radiotherapy and clinical data science. After his graduation he started working as a research medical physicist and medical data engineer at MAASTRO clinic in Maastricht, the Netherlands. His work is focused on data curation for radiomics studies and the building of prediction models.He contributed to different research projects focusing on data extraction, and analysis of clinical data collected in radiotherapy.
