Sergey Primakov is pursuing his PhD degree at Maastricht University under the GROW School for Oncology and Developmental Biology. Sergey works at the Precision Medicine department on the improvement of cancer treatment using machine learning approaches. Sergey’s research projects focus on the use of Deep Learning for automatic tumor segmentation on medical images, and investigating imaging biomarkers for various types of cancer using machine learning and radiomics approaches. Sergey is contributing to open science by designing open-source software tools that support medical image curation and “In-silco” clinical trials.
