Biography

I am a medical physicist, specialising in radiation oncology research and clinical trials. My research focus is on lower GI cancer, lung cancer, reirradiation, and general radiotherapy outcome modelling for treatment personalization. I am involved in a number of radiotherapy trials, particularly in organ preservation for rectal cancer - I currently co-lead one phase II dose-escalation trial in this setting. I trained as a clinical physicist, concurrently with a PhD in Radiation Oncology, focusing on bioeffect & outcome modelling. I now hold a combined academic and clinical position as an Associate Professor at University of Leeds with an honorary contract at St James’s University Hospital, Leeds, UK.
