Biography

Bartosz Bąk, PhD, is a distinguished professional in the field of Elektroradiology (Radiotherapy) , boasting a rich academic and professional background. He earned his PhD in medicine and Master's degree, at the Karol Marcinkowski University of Medical Sciences in Poznań. Following his passion for healthcare management, Bartosz completed Postgraduate Studies in Healthcare Systems Management at the same university in 2012. He played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Polish Elektroradiology Society (PTE) in 2009 and served as its Vice President from 2010 to 2018, followed by his presidency from 2019 to 2021. His remarkable achievements also include being the first Elektroradiologist from Poland to be nominated to the RTT Committee of the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) in 2015, where he served as a Board Member. Additionally, he joined the National Societies Committee of ESTRO's Board in 2016. Bartosz's scholarly contributions are extensive, with over 40 scientific publications to his name, boasting a cumulative Impact Factor of 30.2 (670 Ministerial Points). He has presented numerous papers at both national and international conferences, including prestigious events such as ESTRO, ISSRT, and the EANM 2021/2023 World Congress. His research interests primarily revolve around advanced techniques utilized in radiotherapy, such as helical tomotherapy, dynamic arc therapies, and adaptive radiotherapy.
