Antonio Lopez Medina has been an MPE since 1999 and has worked in two hospitals in Spain since then. He is currently MPE at the Hospital do Meixoeiro in Vigo and associate professor at the University of Vigo. He has recently been elected chairman of the EFOMP European and International Matters Committee for the period 2024-25 and participates as a consultant in the tender "SAMIRA Study on the implementation of Council Directive 2013/59/Euratom requirements for medical equipment with respect to monitoring and control of patient's radiation exposures". He completed his PhD in 2005 and his subsequent research has mainly focused on the assessment of early response to radiotherapy based on functional imaging.
