Nadya Shusharina

Biography

Nadya Shusharina graduated from the Moscow State University in Russia with PhD degree in Physics and Mathematics. After graduation she worked in theoretical polymer physics for 8 years and then switched to the biomedical field by studying bioengineering at MIT. She started her career at the Massachusetts General Hospital as a postdoctoral fellow and earned certificate in Medical Dosimetry. Nadya is currently Harvard Medical School faculty, and conducts research at the Department of Radiation Oncology. Her research focuses on medical image processing and analysis, radiotherapy treatment planning, and developing models for definition of the clinical target volume.
