Biography

I am currently the Director of Brachytherapy Services and Residency Program Director at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. I completed my radiation oncology residency at the National Cancer Institute followed by a brachytherapy fellowship at the University of California Los Angeles. I then joined the faculty at UCLA as an Assistant Professor and member of the Division of Brachytherapy. While at UCLA I served as chief of the gynecologic and sarcoma services and during 2015-2016 the Chief of the Division of Brachytherapy. I’ve been actively involved in brachytherapy education. This includes training multiple brachytherapy fellows, visiting residents, and visiting faculty from all over the world. I’ve taught at the ABS Gyn School and Elekta Gyn brachytherapy workshop as well as given multiple lectures at both a national and international level on various brachytherapy topics. I’m also an editor of the first handbook on Image Guided Brachytherapy. I’ve published over 70 manuscripts in peer reviewed journals most of which are on brachytherapy topics for various disease sites (gyn, prostate, breast, skin, ocular melanoma, head and neck, and brachyablation). I also serve as an editor for three different journals (Brachytherapy, Red Journal, and Journal of Contemporary Brachytherapy).
