Anouk is a radiation oncologist holding a combined clinical-research position at the Danish Center for Particle Therapy, Aarhus University Hospital, Aarhus, Denmark, since 2019. Besides clinical duties, she leads research focused at personalisation of radiotherapy for glioblastoma patients. Anouk started her career in radiation oncology as a PhD-student at the Netherlands Cancer Institute, Amsterdam, the Netherlands. This resulted in her PhD doctorate based on her thesis entitled ‘Chemoradiotherapy in gastric cancer, chances and challenges’ in 2016. At the NKI, she also completed her residency program in 2019. Through her PhD work, she came in contact with colleagues from AUH, which led to a research fellowship and subsequently her current position.
