Biography

Roberta Castriconi works as a Medical Physics Expert at San Raffaele Scientific Institute Milan, Italy since July 2020. She operates especially in radiotherapy and breast-imaging field. Roberta is also involved in different research projects, one specifically focused on improving the quality of radiotherapy by multi-institution knowledge-based planning optimization models. In 2013 she earned her B.Sc. degree in Physics, discussing a thesis on phase contrast mammography and in 2016 her M.Sc. degree in Physics, at Federico II University, Naples, Italy, with a thesis on radiochromic film dosimetry for hadron therapy. Then, in 2017 Roberta moved to Milan, Italy, in order to attend the three year post-graduate School of Medical Physics at Milan University. From 2017 to 2019 she conducted her training at San Raffaele Scientific Institute where she was fully involved in a project focused on the automation in radiotherapy. In November 2019, she achieved the title of Medical Physicist Expert at Milan University, Italy with a thesis on Knowledge-based automatic planning in radiotherapy field conducted at the San Raffaele. Roberta is very interested in research and scientific community activities. She always takes an active part in the scientific community through paper publications, poster and oral presentations at National and European congresses and funded projects. Apart from that, Roberta is a swing dancer of lindy hop and balboa styles. She likes music and enjoys yoga, bicycle riding and skiing.
