Biography

Professor Jeremy Millar is a Radiation Oncologist with a clinical focus on the care of men with prostate cancer, and has established and led a prostate brachytherapy program in Melbourne for more than 20 years. He is Research Director at Alfred Health Radiation Oncology, in Melbourne, and had previously been Director there for more than ten years. He has an academic appointment in the Prostate Cancer Research Group at Monash University, where, among other things, he helps lead a Prostate Cancer Outcomes Clinical Quality Registry, accruing patients on a population-basis across Australia and New Zealand. He is Chair of the Cancer Council of Victoria, Deputy Chair Cancer Council Australia, and a Councillor in the Faculty of Radiation Oncology, Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists. Jeremy is a Kiwi, completing Medicine at the University of Otago before specialist training at the Peter Mac in Melbourne. In his spare time he runs a bit, and climbs hills.
